We focus on child led learning, where it is widely believed as one of the best ways to observe how a child interacts with their surroundings. It is through our approach that we believe, we will be able to help facilitate the child’s learning and support their growth.

Infants are encouraged to engage in activities such as messy play in an organized space, which harnesses infant’s spontaneous exploration to help them learn. Infants develop curiosity, focus and persistence through messy play.

Infants also engage more when they are in an inviting and comfortable environment. At such, you may find infants playing with teacher made toys, materials to aid in their play and learning!

Mighty Explorers

Infants learn best through play. At JHS Montessori, we have created an inviting environment to facilitate the play and learning of our little ones. Mighty Explorers is also a great way for infants to be in touch with their senses! Their 5 senses will be aroused through the different types of toys and materials specially chosen and made by our teachers.  

During Mighty Explorers, infants and toddlers are given opportunities to explore the environment in a safe and responsive manner. These materials are created to inspire curiosity and imagination. Through this session, our teachers are also able to observe their play and learning which then helps them to create a better environment and materials to suit the needs of each infant.

Thematic Discovery

Thematic Discovery is a themed based learning, where different themes are introduced on a monthly basis. Themes such as Feelings, Nature, Five Senses and Environment. Activities are designed based on their daily life routines, to help with self-help skills, to make better sense of what they observe and feel. 

Through these activities, our infants also learn new skills such as pre-literacy and language and even learn how to interact with their friends!

Music & Movement & Storytime

Daily movement helps with infant’s gross and fine motor development! We have enthusiastic and creative teachers to make our infants love and appreciate Music. Music does not only help with gross and fine motor development but it is one of the best ways to help regulate our infants emotions. It is said that without Music & Movement, a child’s early childhood education is incomplete. 

Cognitive growth, self expression and social development are skills that are developed during regular sessions of Music & Movement!

Social & Emotional Development

Things like smiling and responding to a certain teacher or familiar face, making eye contact are all Social and Emotional milestones that infants explore and exhibit by a certain age. 

We believe that it is an important development that encompasses all other development. It certainly helps infants to explore further and better when they have a good amount of Social and Emotional skills developed.

Baby Chef

THE MULTITUDE BENEFITS OF COOKING!

Cookery lessons contribute greatly to cognitive growth, basic math concepts and even self help skills. 

Infants learn important skills that are useful for daily life such as health & hygiene, sequencing and listening skills. 

Our teachers have specially designed Baby Chef activities based on each age group of infant’s ability to comprehend the purpose of each food ingredient and concept of cooking

Nature Walk & Outdoor

We aim to bring our infants out everyday for the fresh air and to observe what nature has to offer us. 

Every little thing that our infants observe is vital to their development. A simple twig that they see and even encouraged to pick up could be an art tool!
